The Stories We Tell is a powerful learning and culture building experience designed for teachers and educators, and centered around the award-winning movie, Teacher of the Year: A Documentary Based on a True Story. During the half-day session, participants will watch the movie, and engage in activities to identify and discuss the narratives (cultural, social, family, individual) that impact our work and lives as educators and learners. Participants will explore the links between the stories we tell about teaching and learning and the reality of teaching and learning, and discover how stories and storytelling can be powerful tools for reflection, connection, and deepening understanding.
